Light Up Kelowna

EXHIBITIONS

Light Up Kelowna is an initiative in collaboration with the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies (FCCS) at UBC Okanagan, and the Arts Council of the Central Okanagan (ARTSCO), with the support of the City of Kelowna. Dr. Miles Thorogood, Dr. Aleksandra Dulic and Dr. Yujie Gao, professors in FCCS, worked with Kirsteen McCulloch at ARTSCO to design the site-specific anti-structure and cutting-edge software to make the images come alive.

There are many ways to support local arts and be part of what we do. Whether you become a member, donate, exhibit your work, or purchase from our store, your involvement helps us create vibrant, inclusive art experiences across the Okanagan.

Kelowna Arts & Culture Roundtable Membership

Ideal participants are organizations that:

  • Provide arts and culture programs or events in Kelowna.

  • Maintain a physical presence in the Okanagan.

  • Commit to consistent representation at quarterly meetings.

  • Are dedicated to collaborative efforts to improve the overall arts and culture landscape.

  • Maintain an active ARTSCO Group Membership.

How do I participate?

To participate in the Kelowna Arts & Culture Roundtable, organizations must hold an active ARTSCO Group Membership. Visit the ARTSCO website to learn more about membership benefits, eligibility criteria, and the application process. Becoming a member is the first step to engaging with the Roundtable and contributing to the vibrant arts and culture scene in Kelowna.

ARTSCO’s Organizational Membership is designed for businesses, nonprofits, and cultural partners who want to invest in the creative landscape of the Okanagan. Your membership helps sustain youth programs, exhibitions, and public art initiatives while positioning your organization as a visible supporter of the arts.
